Caitlin's MYS Concert

You can't see Caitlin in this video, she is behind another orchestra memeber. But you can hear her orchestra play Pachabel's Canon. They sound great!

Run free my little friend...

Mom's dog Julie enjoys a leash free run Pine Island.

One last time on the beach

Emily makes a run for it on Pine Island beach.

Warning! Nudity ahead!

Grandma is shocked by the rampant nudity at the sculpture garden.

What's that?

Caitlin and Grandma examine the sculptures at Brookgreen.

Twisty...

Here's Emily next to a 250 yr. old oak at Brookgreen Sculpture Gardens.

Uncle George and Aunt Anna

Here's Uncle George and Aunt Anna at Dolphin Head. We were supposed to have a picnic here (very nice location) but it was so windy we couldn't light the BBQ fire. So we moved inland.

Me and my bro...

Who's older? Hint: It's not the one with all the gray hair.

It only took 20 tries...

But I think we finally got a decent family photo. We're still at Hilton Head at my mom's house in the front yard.

Alexandra at the beach

Cousin Alexandra was also making sand castles at the beach.

Wrapped in towels and muttering to herself...

Grandma enjoys the beach in her own special way as George works on sand castle construction.

Lots of cousins

Emily and Caitlin with cousins Alexandra, George, and Kathyrn. The spiky hair punk on the right is not part of the family, but judging from his envious look, he wishes he was.

George: The Next Generation

Cousin George also helped build sand castles at the beach.

Break Time

In a rare break from castle construction, Uncle George and his minion Kathryn (I hope the spelling is right) stop to smile for the camera.

Orchid mania -- It's insania!

Look closely and you'll see Mom amidst millions of orchids at Carter and Holmes in Newberry, SC.

Swamp Thing

Here's Caitlin at the Swamp Park.

Emily Freaks Out.

Emily panics upon hearing a strange noise / seeing something weird at the swamp park. Caitlin and Teresa stay calm.

Rich and his Mommy...awwww.

Here's a rare photo of me and my mom at the entrance to Congaree National Park in South Carolina.

Waiting for Fireworks

Emily and Teresa hang out a Hilton Head dock waiting for 4th of July fireworks.

Chillaxing at the Pool

Mom's next door neighboor doesn't

have a pool fence...so it was open season! Actually, she invited us over. Aunt Tory and Uncle Steve are here, along with Mom and a bit of Teresa.

Samantha at the beach

Samantha explores a tidal pool at the beach in Hilton Head.

No Pictures!

Elizabeth treats her Uncle Rich like a paparazzi.

Takin' Charge

Uncle George manages construction of the first of many beach sand castles.

Teresa and the Girls

After Dad's memorial service, I

took a photo of the ladies in the courtyard at Mom's house.

Vacation Sunset

Teresa and I went for a walk along Dolphin Head at sunset.

Caitlin and Elizabeth out for a spin

Caitlin and her cousin Elizabeth also go for a ride around Leatherwood Ct. in Hilton Head, SC.

Goin' Round Leatherwood

Emily and her cousin Samantha enjoy a bike ride around Leatherwood Ct. in Hilton Head.

Caitlin Live!

Here's Caitlin's string quartet concert. This is the end of the week concert for their Quartet Camp. They only had five days to prepare for this and I thought they did a great job!

Emily Live!

Emily and Caitlin participated in Quartet Camp again this year way out east in Mesa. They had lots of fun and put on a great concert. Here's Emily with her string quartet.

Tasty Beach Day

The girls at Carlsbad State Beach toward the end of another tasty day in San Diego.

Peeps on the Beach

Emily at South Carlsbad state beach.

Boo and the Big Bamboo

Caitlin in front of the biggest bamboo I've ever seen. They grow tons of bamboo at the Quail Gardens and ship some of it to the San Diego Zoo to feed to the pandas.

A rare sight

A photo with Teresa and Rich --and we're both smiling! Of course why wouldn't we...we're in San Diego!

Plant man!

This guy is really into plants.

Hanging with the plant people

These people (well except for Teresa) are all made out of succulents.

Taking a break on the Rainforest Trail

Tasty weather, tasty plants. Just tasty!

Tropical Trail

The girls on the Tropical Rainforest trail at the Quail Botanical Gardens. If you love plants, this is paradise!

Giant Agave

What it's like to be 13

See on the right.

Emily in the Rainforest Aviary

"If anything flies even near me I am sooooo out of here!"

Baby Gorilla

Mom and baby at the San Diego Zoo. Ahhhhhh.

Sweet Freedom just over this rock!

If you were just a few inches taller my friend....

Elephants

Caitlin at the Elephant exhibit at the San Diego Zoo. She loves elephants!

Cat Rider!

There's no better way to get around the San Diego Zoo than by riding a giant cat!

Our best shot of Caitlin today

She's not smirking, blinking, or making a goofy hand gesture. And her eyes are almost all the way open.

Overlooking Coronado Island

Looking down from Point Loma onto San Diego Bay and Coronado Island.

Tasty Day by the Ocean

This photo pretty much sums up why San Diego is the coolest place in the world.

A rare sight

Yes! It's Aunt T in a photo. Here she is at the tidal pool area at Cabrillo National Monument.

Aboard the USS Midway

Just south of the Maritime Musuem in San Diego is the USS Midway. We're on the runway deck. The Midway was really cool to explore. It's amazing how big it is.

In the brig

After a rowdy shore leave, Caitlin and Teresa end up in the brig of the USS Midway.

Just Like the Hunt for Red October!

Here I am trying to get through a hatch inside the Soviet sub. It's a tight fit in there and not much headroom. I guess Russian sailors were dwarves.

Soviet Sub

Here are the girls on board a Soviet Sub at the Maritime Museum in San Diego.

Emily by the Flamingos

They like pink too!
